Independent Ballet Wales would like to invite you to participate in our Riverfront Summer Dance 2010 programme!
We are offering a range of courses to suit every type of dancer – from beginners to advanced, from street dancers to ballet to flamenco. We also have two new ballet courses on offer. Our courses are open to interested participants from 9 years of age to adult and previous dance experience is not a necessity.
Please choose the course you would like to participate in (including a second option should your first option be full) and send back the application form. We will then contact you informing you of your place on the course and how to make payment. Please book fast as places for the courses are limited and we do not want anyone to miss out!

RIVERFRONT SUMMER DANCE 2010
COURSES
Monday 19th – Friday 23rd JULY,
11.30am – 4.30pm
Culminating in a performance at the Riverfront Theatre, Friday 23rd July, 2.30pm.
Dance Course 1 (ages 9 – 12)
Classes in Street, Tap, Contemporary and Ballet. You will also have the opportunity to create your own piece of choreography with the dancers of Independent Ballet Wales. Designed to suit new and experienced dancers.
Course 1 = £50.
Dance Course 2 (ages 13 and up)
Classes in Street, Contemporary, Flamenco and Ballet. You will also have the opportunity to create your own piece of choreography with the dancers of Independent Ballet Wales. Designed to suit new and experienced dancers.
Course 2 = £50.
Monday 26th JULY – Saturday 31st July
9.30am – 4.30pm
Culminating in a performance at the Riverfront Theatre, Saturday 31st July, 2.30pm
Ballet Course 3 (ages 11 and up)
Daily classical technique class, followed by classes in Pointe and/or Foot Strengthening, Pas De Deux, Repertoire, Contemporary choreography. Dancers to this course will also have the opportunity to create a piece of their own choreography. A sound ballet technique and basic pointe work necessary.
Ballet Course 3 = £90
Advanced Ballet Course 4 (for advanced & professional/graduate dancers)
Daily classical company class with the director of Independent Ballet Wales, followed by classes in Pointe/Male Coaching, Pas De Deux, Repertoire and Choreography. Accommodation can be provided for this course for dancers over 18 years of age (accommodation 25th – 31st July)
Advanced Ballet Course 4 = £100
(with accommodation course total = £250)
Adult Ballet Course – 6–8pm (Monday–Thursday with a performance on Saturday)
Evening ballet technique class followed by classical repertory and choreography.
Adult Ballet Course = £50
