Since 1986 Independent Ballet Wales has presented a high standard of classical ballet in an unpretentious and original way. The company regularly ask venues to keep their ticket prices to a minimum and we go out of our way to ensure that we remain accessible to all people through our workshops and classes.
For people who demand Swan Lake or Sleeping Beauty there are many small companies around, but this company believes in creating works of art that are based around ideas and not financial goals.
Every year many dance and ballet companies go out of business and many more are formed. Independent Ballet Wales has grown for 24 years and remained true to its aims and ideals.
Each year the company tour to around 50 venues throughout the UK and beyond with 8 dancers and two technicians, presenting innovative, challenging and original productions.
The company is also proud of its record in training and encouraging young dancers with ex members now dancing in companies across the world including English National Ballet, Dutch National Ballet and The Scottish Ballet.
